specific core value for each month. I offer classroom lessons to address these
areas of character education.

to positively identify and express their feelings.
Lessons that reflect on the
qualities of good friends
Discussing the positive behaviors

Tim is a puppet I use to reinforce
positive school behaviors. Tim catches students being good in the hallway,
classroom, and MORE

In my school district, we have a
specific core value for each month. To coincide with this character education
schedule, I create an interactive core value bulletin each month for students
to utilize.
Students write letters to our school
puppet, Tim, to help him solve his problems.
Good Behavior Competition
Good Behavior Competition
Target behavior concerns by
encouraging friendly grade level competition.
Each month I provide my school staff
with a newsletter that highlights various resources, events, and positive
school news.
A week to promote a positive school

and acknowledge acts of kindness at our school.
Red Ribbon Week is an important part
of my school district. We plan many events and initiatives around RRW.

member of this club. Members are assigned an age group (K-2 or 3-6) and must
plan ways to help those student groups feel special at our school. 2013
